“The Guitars Are Taking Over” – a day with Bob Burger at Russo Music store.

On Saturday in a Russo Music Store known more for Gibson and Taylor guitars (they are five star dealers of those), there was something even more special going on inside: an interview with Bob Burger- a singer/songwriter famous for his skills in song composition as well as for his vigorous and emotional live performances. Machete Media Productions team got to film Bob in a really great shop with tons of space, plenty of instruments, the acoustic room had a nice living room feel with couches and stools to sit on. Guitars on hangers lined the three walls, quite fitting location for a musician to talk about his music, passion and memories.

Bob Burger studied intellectual property law at Rutgers and started practicing law after obtaining his J.D. degree with honors…but music has always been his passion. He has composed songs for Glen Burtnik’s solo CDs and for media conglomerates such as HBO. He has played with the likes of Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen.

Bob Burger started his first band at age eleven and since then he never stopped performing. He self-produced and recorded four critically acclaimed CDs, Cymbals at Dawn, Surprise Party, Christmas Can’t Wait and The Day After all on his own Big Brave Music label. Attracting the local Jersey Shore scene, he appeals mostly to the music savvy and intelligent crowds and his music is praised as cross genre and generation transcending.

During the interview director Bridget Machete gave Bob an “Asburied In Time” T- shirt to wear hopefully to his many performances as he is a popular performer in Central and Southern New Jersey playing regular gigs at venues like McLoone's Pier House in Long Branch, Summit Opera House, Basil T's in Red Bank or Asbury Park’s Wonder Bar.
