Machete Media at the Biggest Horror and Goth/Sci Fi Show on the East Coast.
Great conventions like Chiller Theater Toy and Model Film Expo are sure to interest classic horror film fans. Held in Sheraton, Parsippany in New Jersey convention had a mammoth list of invitees to see, including Cherie Currie and Lita Ford from Runaways , Butch Patrick the Eddie Munster, Doug Bradley from Hellraiser, Ace Freehley formerly of Kiss, Yaphet Kotto from Alien, Robert Kerman from Cannibal Holocaust, Lisa Marie from Mars Attacks!, Mark Rolston from Aliens, Barbara Steele from Black Sunday, and Gerrit Graham from Phantom of the Paradise to name just a few. Entertainment industry has its own busy promo times and business cycles, but certain times of year are particularly good for Horror film promotion- the HALLOWEEN season. Chiller Theater presents this kind of opportunity and as always it crowds and meets, film screenings, photo ops, and other exciting escapades for every fear and horror culture follower.
Bridget Machete interviews Cherie Currie (Runaways)
Here’s how everything unfolded: the time before the Chiller Theater was pretty hectic for team Machete. The night before that we had our Cast and Crew screening of “Not Another Bad Horror Film.” The next day, once we got to the Chiller Theater Expo we started interviewing people. Cherie Currie who has been Bridget’s idol for many years at first was reluctant to do an interview as she was complaining of a migraine headache, then Bridget Machete and Cherie began to compare migraine remedies and Cherie ended up wanting to do the interview after all. Bridget got her copy of Neon Angel signed. Jaysick who is our host and interviewer to the stars had a friend at the event, Cait who was also a photographer on set that day. Team Machete also got to mess around with costumes and taking funny pictures this year…. It doesn’t have to be all about work!

Starting Celebrity Interviews at the Chiller Expo was a very big step for Machete Media Productions. Bridget decided to go ahead and take the leap back in 2013 when Jaysick called her and asked if she could help him film the series. Seeing how easily Jasick had been able to connect with celebreties , made Bridget want to do the same and besides she was the only available person with the camera that day. It is still, not surprisingly, internet/social media most “liked” and “followed” Machete Media production! It was a huge step for the company and it allowed us to connect with people in the industry; having them retweet/share our videos and gain more fans and followers. We get to ask these amazing legends and one time famers what is their next step in the game and it is really exciting to be the first ones to hear about it.

Weeks ahead, Machete Media gets to sit down for pre-production meeting and talks about the guests attending Expo, researches their stories, bios and their current projects. Jaysick is a natural, and works really well on the spot, he knows a lot about the industry so he really does not have to improvise. It is really all about having a great conversation with these people who are willing to share what’s been happening or not happening in their life. Some are very eager to get back into spotlight every interview means publicity and we’re sure glad to help.
