Inside Kenny Segall’s Music Box

Everyone knows how important the music industry was and is to Asbury Park. There is a tone of music being played at every corner of this town; rock, blues, jazz and more. Over the course of making “Asburied In Time” we were thrilled to have met many wonderful known musicians like Glen Burtnik, Bob Burger, Dorian Parreot and recently Kenny Segall.

Musician Kenny Segall hosted our production crew at the Schmeeds Music Store in Whippany, NJ for an interview and retrospective of his life and career, and talked about the principles and history of music in Asbury Park.

Kenny is very proud of his association with Asbury Park and he’s played with legends like Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Jack Sonni (most known from Dire Straits) and many, many more. But he is even more proud of being able to perform in places like Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, The Saint and of making great shows there.

We are soooo incredibly excited to have Kenny in our film!
